1. We travel to the clients yard or the client can travel to us.
2. History of the horse including medication and any injuries.
3. Initial assessment of the horse (clean and dry) in the stable and movement in walk and trot.
4. Full body "Hands on" Equine Sports Massage identifying issues.
5. Active and passive stretches are performed after massage to help the horse to become aware of range of movement and co-ordination.
6. Give advice on a work programme post massage.
7. The horse may require McTimoney-Corley Spinal Therapy which includes full body check and re-alignment of the bones and includes a series of stretches.
8. Equine Massage and McTimoney-Corley Spinal Therapy takes 1 hour.
After the Therapy Session
We recommend the horse is given 24 - 48 hours off from exercise or training programme. We show the owner/trainer stretches and advise a post massage exercise routine to suit the individual horse.
Further sessions maybe required depending on tension, injury and the horses recovery rate.
